Arrive Trogir (near Split) to board and check-in between 2pm to 2.30pm. The boat departs for island of Šolta at 3.00pm. Split airport is approx. 3mi./5 km from the harbour of Trogir. We can assist with an arrival transfer on request (not included). On arrival we will use the afternoon for a first short bike ride, to ensure all bikes are adjusted correctly and comfortable to use. Our first cycle leads us past dry stone walls, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees. The smell of sage and rosemary accompany us on our ride. Short trails lead down to the sea and back to the ship, where we spend the evening in a charming harbour town.

Meals:  D

This morning we enjoy a cruise during breakfast to the Island of Vis. Vis is the furthermost inhabited island from mainland Croatia. A Greek colony called Issa inhabited the island 2,300 years ago. Due to its strategic location it was a military zone until 1995 and closed to foreign tourists. Today we have the opportunity to explore the lovely island by bicycle. We have plenty of time to enjoy the island and spend the night here.

Meals:  B,L

In the morning we leave the island of Vis by boat and navigate to the harbor town of Vela Luka on the Island of Korcula. Along the way we throw the anchor for a refreshing swim stop. Korcula is regarded as one of the most scenic islands in the Adriatic, abundant in viewpoints and quaint villages nestled in the green. Once we arrive in Vela Luka we can enjoy a round tour from Vela Luka to the village of Blato and back again. The night is spent in Vela Luka on the western side of the island.

Meals:  B,L

The day starts with a relaxing cruise to Hvar town on Hvar Island. Make use of the time before the cycle tour starts and go for a little stroll through the city. Standing on the magnificent Renaissance Square you can enjoy a view up to the Spanish fortress towering high above the city. Today's bike tour takes us from the city of Hvar through small villages and lavender fields to Stari Grad on the opposite side of the island. The descent to Stari Grad offers breathtaking views. After a lunch break we continue start off on a second cycling tour through the green planes of the island to the seaside town of Jelsa. After a break for coffee and ice cream, we continue the round trip back to Stari Grad where we spend the night.

Meals:  B,L

In the morning we cruise to the island of Brac, famous for its radiant, precious limestone that was, among others, used for the White House in Washington and in the construction of the German Reichstag building in Berlin. Once we have arrived on Brac, we start our bike tour from Milna to the picturesque harbor town of Postira. At first we cycle inland through small villages and past local architectural relics before hugging the coast with spectacular views across the channel to the mainland. On arrival in Postira there are many ways in which to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. The night is spent in the quiet harbor of Postira.

Meals:  B,L

During breakfast the boat brings us to the city of Split. The old town of Split, built adjoining the famous palace of the Roman Caesar Diocletian, is a UNESCO world heritage site. Today we have the choice either to take a bus transfer to go rafting through the Cetina Canyon (not included in the tour price) or to explore the wonderful Marjan forest Park in Split by bike. The rafting group will be picked up from the boat by a bus and are taken to Omiš for the excursion. From here they will follow the river downstream in the rafts gaining a unique perspective of the canyon and its flora and fauna. Rafting trip participants are brought back to the boat in the bus after the activity. Cyclists will enjoy a short but scenic bike tour through the green heart of Split accompanied by an extensive swim break at a local beach. In the afternoon we can explore the bustling city of Split again together as one group. Overnight Split.

Meals:  B

Cruise to Šolta Island where we enjoy our last bike tour. Walled fields, numerous olive groves, locust bean and fig trees line the roads. The herbal scent of rosemary accompanies us along our tour across the island. After a round tour of the island, we return to the boat. We board and enjoy the last crossing to Trogir past the cliffs of the Ciovo peninsula. There is still plenty of time to visit the Old Town of Trogir, listed as a World Cultural Heritage site. The last evening aboard our ship is celebrated in traditional fashion. While enjoying the communal dinner in a celebrative atmosphere we will have the chance for a last get-together with our crew and tour guides.

Due to its strategic location it was a military zone until 1995 and prohibited for foreign tourists. Today starts with one of the highlight rides of the week. Vis offers a great combination of off-road trails and historical sights and incredible ocean views along the way. We have plenty of time to enjoy the island and spend the night here.

Meals:  B,L

In the morning we cross over to the harbour of Vela Luka on the island of Korcula stopping for a swim from the boat if the weather permits. We have some great riding on the program today with both groups starting off together on the northern tip of the Island. From the harbour we pedal along some coastal trails before continuing along a mixture of asphalt and gravel roads to the historical archaeological site of Vela Spila, an incredible cave rock formation. Here we divide into two groups: one group can enjoy an urban trail back to the harbour, while the second group descends on gravel roads. Back at the harbour we can enjoy a short coffee break before continuing in two groups for one last trail session on the southern tip of the Island. After a successful descent we enjoy a celebratory dinner on board and spend the night in Vela Luka.

Meals:  B,D

Arriving in the city of Hvar on the island of Hvar in the morning, we unload the bikes and start off on a great days biking. Our focus is to cross the island which we do on a variation of asphalt roads, undulating natural paths and gravel tracks. Along the way some great trail sections distract us from our uphill mission. Halfway across the island we enjoy a well-earned lunch at a local restaurant before reaching the highest point of the tour and choosing our descent down to the fruitful planes of Stari Grad where the boat awaits us in the harbour. The night is spent in the picturesque harbour town of Stari Grad.

Meals:  B,L

Today features the longest trail of the week! During breakfast we cruise to the harbour of Milna on the Island of Brac where we unload the bikes and set off on our ride to the highest peak of the Adriatic islands. Our path leads us past olive groves, herb meadows and typical karstic formations such as sinkholes. The view from atop the 780m high Vidova Gora is incredible. You can even have a look down on Bol and the iconic Zlatini Rat Beach - the Golden Horn. The descent into the valley starts out technical and becomes more flowy near the end on the Broken Glass trail. An alternative, less challenging path with incredible views can be taken also. Our destination is the seaside town of Postira where we spend the night.

Meals:  B,L

During breakfast the boat brings us to Omiš. Today we have the choice either to take a bus transfer to go rafting through the Cetina Canyon (not included in the tour price) or to explore the trails around Omiš. From the starting point they will follow the river downstream in the rafts gaining a unique perspective of the canyon and its flora and fauna. Participants of the rafting trip are brought back to the boat in the bus after the activity. In the afternoon our boat will bring us to Split, where we stay the night.

Meals:  B

In the morning, we enjoy our last cruise back to Trogir. From here, we take the bikes across the local bridge to Ciovo Island where we get stuck into our last bike tour. Ciovo is a sea of flowers and the aromatic scent of wild herbs hangs in the air. Here we enjoy riding the local cross country trails before we split into two groups. One group can enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean while the other group continue on some enduro lines on the island. There is enough time in the afternoon to enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage city of Trogir before enjoying a festive last meal on board.

Grading

moderate

GRADE 3 - The trip requires a good level of fitness to fully participate in the cycling. The tours will take us up to a height of between 200 and 500m above sea-level. The day-tours from 15 to 62km/9.5 to 38mi are through hilly and mountainous terrain and can be completed without any time constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs, during which you may need to push the bike. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bike-tour. We will traverse mostly asphalted roads, which are rarely travelled on outside of the holiday seasons. Each day you can either decide to bike alone, using the information and maps provided, or join the two tour guides or other participants. It is considered suitable for active children (minimum 10 years, height minimum is 1.2m/4ft for hybrid bike or 1.5m/4.9ft for e-bike). *For safety reasons, we insist that cycle helmets be included as a compulsory item on your equipment list. Note: The cyclists on regular bicycles determine the pace. If you have reserved an e-bike please be mindful of this and to acknowledge that the regular cyclists need time to rest and take longer to climb the hills. MOUNTAIN BIKE ITINERARY: Daily tours in hilly terrain at distances of 30 to 60km/17 to 37mi and 400 to 800m/1312 to 262 ft of elevation. The terrain in this region is very diverse and changes from island to island: technical and demanding single trails alternate with wide gravel 4x4 roads and sometimes also quiet asphalt stretches; there are very few points which you cannot ride. Riders must experienced on a MTB and comfortable riding over stones, tree roots, areas of erosion, gradients between 40-70%, hairpin turns and tight corners. Skilful braking and weight shift required as well as riding whilst standing. Note: The cyclists on regular mountain bikes determine the pace. If you have reserved an e-MTB please be mindful of this and to acknowledge that the regular cyclists need time to rest and take longer to climb the hills.
