Accommodation

 

Cycle the scenic streets and trails of Croatia during the day then return to the comfort of your floating accommodation in the evening. That’s what a bike and boat holiday with UTracks is all about. Cabins are inclusive of bed linen and towels, some of the boats have en-suite facilities where others come with shared bathrooms. Most of the time you have the option to choose for a cabin above deck and even reserve a single cabin, both based on availability and against a supplement. 

 

On all boats, you can expect a healthy dose of Croatian hospitality through the crew that joins you on board. Unpack only once and go to bed after a different sunset every night, or wake up to a different view each morning. You can also take a virtual tour of the vessels used in Croatia.

 

Meals

 

On your Croatia activity holiday by boat, most of the meals are included. We arrange for this as it allows you to get a fresh and healthy meal each day, important to enjoy your activities for the next day. Your onboard cook, who is a member of the crew, prepares your first dinner on day 1 and will continue doing so throughout your trip, ending with breakfast on the last day. 

 

Enjoy tasting the real flavours of Croatia by delving into the heart of the local cuisine provided by your fantastic chefs on board. And if you have any dietary requirements, just advise us in advance and we can usually cater for these.

 

Maps & Route Directions

 

Even though you travel in a group of fellow travellers, on most boat based holidays on which we go cycling in Croatia, you receive route information and maps. You can use this provided information to venture out on your own, or of course decide to join the tour guides and rest of the group. No matter what option you choose, all holidays in Croatia come with reliable local back-up and daily support, giving you reassurance.

 

Bicycles

 

Well maintained bicycles, built for comfort, not speed, are included in our bike and sail trips in Croatia. At the start of your Croatia activity holiday, you will receive your bicycle. We take a moment to adjust your bicycle to your liking so that you can enjoy to the fullest your pedalling days. Typically you will cycle on 21 speed hybrid bikes with hand breaks and pannier, and you can choose between men’s or ladies’ bikes. 

 

On family holidays, we usually have trail-a-bikes, children bicycles and trailers for smaller children available. There is also the option to upgrade to an 8-speed electric bike on most Croatia activity holidays. Often, you can make your trip even more active and, against a supplement, take a mountain biking option. In these cases, you receive a solid mountain bike (MTB) and our guides take you on different routes that are generally longer or more technical. Experienced Local Guides

 

On guided boat based tours in Croatia, your multi-lingual guide will work tirelessly to make sure your holiday runs smoothly. Your guide will be suitably certified and experienced and will allow you to have a more informed and intimate experience of Croatia. Their passion is to bring to life the flora, fauna and rich history of Croatia. Did you know for example that the Greeks, Romans and Slavs traversed Croatia long before you? 

 

Besides your guides, there is a crew at hand who will arrange for your meals, cabin and other onboard requests.
