If you want to experience the Camino Portuguese, the Coastal Way is a gorgeous and quieter alternative to the traditional Portuguese Way. Follow the Atlantic coastline of northern Portugal as you walk or cycle your way towards Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Along the way, enjoy almost continuous sea views, sample the flavours of Portugal in charismatic seaside towns and fishing villages, and recharge your batteries by taking regular dips in the sea.
There are different stages of the Camino Portuguese trail to walk or cycle. On the Portuguese Way Cycle - Coast and Camino tour, you start cycling in Porto and finish in Santiago de Compostela. On the Camino Portugues - Baiona to Santiago trip, you begin your self guided pilgrimage in Baiona and walk through Galicia to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. For the Portuguese Road - Coastal Way to Santiago tour, pilgrims walk from Viana do Castelo in Portugal and end in Santiago.
There's much to enjoy on the Coastal Way Camino trail in Portugal. Soak up the impressive architecture and history of the Portuguese coast and follow in the footsteps of the great explorer Christopher Colombus on this alternative Camino route.
