For more than a millennium, the Camino de Santiago has been well trodden by hiking boots, horse hoofs and more recently, bike tyres, by people travelling on one of the many routes in Spain, France and Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, home of the tomb of the apostle St James.
UTracks offers a multitude of cycling options along the Camino de Santiago, the French Way of St James as well as the Portuguese Road, or Camino Portuguese.
Starting from Roncesvalles near the French border, you can cycle along the most popular route all the way to Santiago de Compostela. We’ve divided this route into two convenient stages, the first from the foothills of the Pyrenees to Leon and the second starting in León and ending in the cathedral city of Santiago.
If you are after a challenge, embark on a rewarding 700km cycle along the Way of St James in France from Le Puy en Velay to St Jean Pied de Port. A good level of fitness is required Camino cycling trips in Spain and France.
The Portuguese Way provides cyclists with a quieter and more importantly, a flatter experience. The spectacular route packed with historic sites and monuments. Choose to cycle from Lisbon or Porto to Santiago, or take the scenic route along the Portuguese coast.

Similar to Bed & Breakfasts, these family-owned accommodations are clean and comfortable. Rooms with en-suites generally have a shower but no bath due to space. There may be a separate room with a bath tub.
