Walk the beautiful final stretch of Italy's Camino trail through Umbria

The final section of the magnificent Via Francigena is from Orvieto to Rome. This stage of the Camino takes pilgrims throughout Umbria, considered the 'Green Heart of Italia', to the Eternal City of Rome.

This is one of the most popular Via Francigena walks to do. Along the way, you'll see nature reserves, hilltop towns of Italy such as in Orvieto, and the mighty dome of St Peter's Basilica. Between the age of 75 - 78 I walked alone, with backpack and where available guide book, the entire Via Francigena. South from Lausanne and north from Lausanne. Useful that I speak Italian, French and English.
Would like to know more about the Via Francigena del sud - the route which exits Rome by via Appia to Adriatic coast.
