Camino Trails

Walk or Cycle the Historic Camino Trails

It’s without a doubt the most famous pilgrimage trail in Europe. In the 9th century the tomb of the apostle St James was unearthed in Compostela. The site became the focus of a pilgrim trail beginning in France and crossing Northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. While there are many different routes to Santiago de Compostela, the most well known of the Camino de Santiago walks (also known as the Compostela Trail or Way of St James) are in France and Spain.

There’s something very unique about walking the Camino de Santiago. Even if you hike it yourself, you are never alone. Whether you do it for religious reasons or not, the sense of community on the trail is like no other walk on earth. The overwhelming feeling of acceptance by everyone you meet along the trail makes it very hard not to tap into some sort of spiritual guidance.

Whether you have 5 days or 50; prefer France, Italy, Spain or Portugal; are a walker or a cyclist - there is a Camino experience waiting for you.

With so many Camino trails available it can be confusing for travellers to know exactly which one they should do.

What exactly is the Camino? Why are there so many routes? Which one should I do? When should I go? Have you got any tips?
