Danube Cycle
"A fabulous trip. Would recommend it to everyone either on a push bike or E-bike. It was really well organised and we loved it."
G. Galante | Australia
"We had always said we would love one day to do a river cruise on the Danube. After cycling it from Passau to Budapest I can now say the cruise is off. The sights we saw the places we stayed and that sense of achievement at having done it ourselves had us feeling sorry for those poor cruise ship folk who we encountered following the lollipops around. If you are thinking of doing this trip, stop thinking and act, do it you won't regret it. There is nothing not to like. Paul and Glenys."

The Danube by Bike & Boat
"The MV Theodor Korner cabins were on the small side, but comfortable enough. But overall the trip was excellent. The crew and staff on board were all very friendly and helpful, and given the number of passengers, the food was excellent, with very good variety and options. The bike paths were generally very interesting, and the day's activities very well explained. And the countryside is wonderful. It was a very enjoyable adventure."

"Wonderful trip! Not too physically taxing. Beautiful scenery and lots of fun stops along the route. It was self directed with a guide book and pre-trip guide meeting where you are provided guidance and extra information on the next day’s journey. You can visit a multitude of castles, wineries, small towns, etc. We originally didn’t expect much of the Bratislava stop, but ended up absolutely loving it! Boat was older but in good shape. Bathrooms are teeny tiny. Food was excellent. Wide range of ages doing tour, from a few families to seniors. It was wonderful meeting fellow bikers from all over the world!"
J. Troyer | Calgary, Alberta, Canada
"Our trip exceeded our expectations - the biking routes were well planned, easy to follow and thought out to provide the best possible scenery and sight seeing, even though the weather wasn't as good as we would have liked it. The map book provided was excellent as were the quality of the bikes, and they were matched perfectly to our heights. I can recommend an E-Bike if your are unsure of making the distances comfortably each day and they also helps if there were headwinds. Andreas (our biking tour leader) gave daily 'Powerpoint' briefings which were not only clear and helpful, but humorous as well. All the ship's crew were delightful and very helpful and friendly, although I would definitely pay the extra to get a room on the Promenade Deck as the others were a little noisy nearer to the engines. We would definitely recommend this holiday to those who wish to see the best of the Danube whilst enjoying the outdoors."

Blue Danube Cycle
"I loved the ride, amazing countryside incredible helpful people if you were lost. The accommodation was fantastic. The meals were always plenty...breakfast was always great."
A. Cross | Dunedin, New Zealand
"The Blue Danube bike ride is an excellent option for anyone looking for an active travel option to explore this lovely corner of the world. The standard of the bike facilities is excellent and with a number of punts taking cyclists and walkers across the river there is always a lot of flexibility about which side of the river you ride. We travelled independently but the route was very easy to follow and having the luggage transferred each day to the next hotel worked perfectly."

The German Danube
"The German Danube cycle tour is a great way to visit the German countryside. The bike tracks are very safe, sometimes sealed and sometimes gravel, but never difficult to ride on. The accommodation was excellent, as were the meals provided. The bikes and guide documentation were all first class. Note it does take a little while to learn to read the maps properly, but no issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for a slightly longer tour."

Hungarian Rhapsody
"This was an extraordinary holiday. You do not have to be a diehard cyclist as the bikes are very comfortable."
S. Smail | Croydon, UK
"The rivers was so inviting for a swim, so often, it was hard to keep pedaling forward. This for us was such a grand adventure of discovery, seeing the beauty and historical magnificence of Eastern Europe - surprised."

Danube Cycle Adventure for Families
This is a brilliant trip. Plenty of time to cycle from place to place each day. Wonderful scenery. Instructions (pre-trip and during trip) were very worthwhile. Do this trip again? Yes, definitely and further along the Danube.

Danube to the iron gates bike and boat
Our experience of this trip was not as planned due to the drought in EU. The Danube was too shallow for the Theodor Korner to proceed past Vienna. Due to the vast local experience of Andreas the fabulous Cruise Director the trip was replanned daily for Austrian rides only - and was still a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip. Be aware this tour can be affected by the river levels - up or down - but the locals love and support this particular cruise. It is repeated many times a year and gets booked out early!
