Way of St James: Le Puy to Aumont Tour Reviews
"Great walk (despite the wear & tear on my knees with all the ups & downs!) with excellent accommodation and delicious food (one minor issue with a restaurant booking was resolved very efficiently by UTracks Auckland - thanks!). Especially liked the gites which facilitated meeting other pilgrims and walkers along the way."

"Le Puy to St Chely was a memorable walk organised by UTracks. The accommodation was a mix of hotels & farm stays, all were fresh & clean, with friendly welcoming staff or hosts. Meals were amazing 3-4 courses each night & buffet breakfasts most mornings. The scenery is just amazing, spring flowers were everywhere. The tracks were well signposted & in pretty good state, especially considering our walk commenced after a lot of rain of which we were very lucky to have missed."

The Way of St James: Aumont to Conques Tour Reviews
"The length of the trip was perfect for an introduction to the French Camino. The daily distances were well planned and the countryside was lovely. All the hotels we stayed in were good and the set menus were fine.It was a wonderful experience. Additionally the walking is without anxiety as the Camino signs are prolific and so easy to follow."

"This is a is strenuous route than the Camino is Spain but less crowded and beautiful rural areas with forested sections, small towns, and farmland. Clearly marked, there are many wonderful churches dating from as far back as 900 A.D. along the route. Some sections have small cafes to get food and/or drinks but stretches have nothing but farms so advance daily planning is useful."

"Excellent communication, always kept in the loop while arrangements were being made. The accommodation was generally outstanding, very good value, especially considering that there is often not a great deal of choice. The route notes all very up to date, extremely detailed with lots of useful tips. However I didn't have to consult the map often as the trail was amazingly well marked. With all the logistics (accommodation, baggage transfers, meals) taken care of, it was easy to relax and enjoy the spectacular countryside. So much of interest to see en route!"

"It was a wonderful walk with magnificent scenery and fantastic Medieval Villages many listed by UNESCO. We had no problems with local organisation, everything went like clockwork. We would definitely recommend the walk to anyone considering a sojourn in rural France.Thank you for organizing such a wonderful experience for us."

Food Lover's French Way of St James Tour Review
"A pleasing combination of walking and bus travel in a wonderful rural area of France. Under the guidance of Mary Moody we walked the hills, and the cobble stoned streets of some historic and beautiful villages. Le Puy en Velay and the volcanic countryside surrounding is a wonderful sight to behold. Conques, Cahors and Rocamadour were magical destinations. Mary very generously gave us an insight into living in rural France, taking us to her local market, to lunch at a local restaurant, and then giving us afternoon tea at her village house in Frayssinet-le-Gelat. The end destination of Biarritz came too soon."
