Portuguese Way Cycle: Porto to Santiago Tour Review

"The Portugal ride was much more challenging and hilly than the Cycle Amsterdam to Paris trip, even though the distances each day were much less. The route follows the Portuguese Caminho (Portugal spelling) and there are some parts where you need to take a different route to avoid rocky steep tracks of the Caminho which can be difficult to find. It is a magnificent ride and the added spirit of being on a Caminho engenders camaraderie with the pilgrims walking the Caminho. "Bom Caminho" is often heard. The people are very friendly and the accommodation was excellent."

Cycle the Via Francigena: Siena to Rome Tour Review

"This is not a trip for the feint hearted. You need to be extremely fit and confident travelling on roads with high speed traffic and off-road on steep hills with all sorts of surfaces. On the positive side, it is a fantastic way to see this part if Italy. There is plenty of variety in the countryside and beautiful towns along the route. We enjoyed the different accommodation which was all comfortable."
