Though she started her life as a cargo ship, in 2000 the Fiep (now La Mar) was converted into a spacious, modern passenger ship, custom built for boat and bike tours in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The ship can accommodate a maximum of 24 passengers and all twelve of her twin guest cabins are located on the lower deck. Ten of the twin cabins (10 m² – 108 sq.ft.) have two separate single beds, the other two (8 m² – 86 sq.ft.) have two split level beds that can be used as singles. Every cabin is fitted with a private shower, basin, toilet, fully functioning windows, central heating, air conditioning a mini safe and a hair dryer.

With an air-conditioned lounge, cosy bar, spacious sitting area with widescreen TV, Wi-Fi and sundeck, the upper deck of La Mar is where passengers come to relax, chat and enjoy a coffee in the mornings and aperitif in the evenings as they watch the world drift by. The fully air-conditioned dining room, where excellent meals are served takes pride of place on the lower deck.
