What's not included
During the trip you will be provided with a 21 speed men’s or unisex rental bike with waterproof pannier, bike computer and repair kit per room. 7 speed unisex bikes with gear hub and available on request. In the case of a puncture the assumption is that you can repair. You will be given a proper puncture repair kit, which will enable you to solve the problem.
The premium bike is equipped with 27 speed Shimano Deore XT, Hydraulic Magura brakes HS 11 and a high-quality suspension fork from Suntour - just some of this bike's numerous advantages. Note: only available with a cross bar. A supplement applies.
Electric bikes, or e-bikes, are designed to make cycling easier. The pedalling ‘boost’ provided by an e-bike opens up more options, allowing people of different fitness levels to cycle together or for cyclists to take on routes they may otherwise consider too tough for their current fitness capabilities. Please note that e-bikes are heavier than normal bikes and given the higher speed possible, should only be ridden by confident cyclists. Minimum age for e-bike rental is 14 years and a minimum height requirement is 153cm / 5ft.
The Moselle bike path mostly runs on paved roads and bike trails and is continuously and well signposted. There are only some short sections with more traffic. Altogether a very easy bike tour which is ideally suitable for families with children and doesn´t require more than basic fitness.
GRADE 1 - This trip involves 5 days cycling of between 35km and 50km (21 and 31mi) per day usually along paved cycle paths across generally flat terrain. In and out of the cities there will be some traffic. You need only carry your camera/rain gear and water bottle. The accent is on keeping a relaxed pace to take in all of the attractions, with time to stop and take photos. Your luggage is transferred from hotel to hotel. For this reason the trip is a grade 1 cycle and is considered suitable for beginners. *For safety reasons, we insist that cycle helmets be included as a compulsory item on your equipment list.
