⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful trip along an amazing bike path. E-bikes were excellent and recommended for casual cyclists. Hotels were mostly good. S. Chisnall.

How did you prepare for your trip?

I did modest levels of exercise bike training plus my usual daily walking schedule.

The trip is graded introductory to moderate and suitable for cycling at a leisurely pace. Daily cycling distances range from 30 to 69km/18.5 to 43mi over relatively flat terrain. The accent is on keeping a relaxed pace to take in all of the attractions, with time to stop and take photos. It is considered suitable for cyclists with a good level of fitness.

The journey alternates between flat roads alongside streams and vineyards and follows bicycle paths along the coast and through forests.

Why did you choose this trip?

Attracted by the Bordeaux to Biarritz tour itinerary. [See the full itinerary]

First time UTracks users. Non bikers so decided to use electric bikes. Slightly nervous about distances and whole concept. The starting point Bordeaux was stunning and amazing place to start the ride. We visited places we would never have thought of staying at and were fantastic. As first time bikers electric bikes perfect as we could enjoy destinations without being too tired. Experience of a lifetime, well worth the money, and to finish in Biarittz was just perfect. D. Giles

What was the overall trip highlight?

The great quality of the cycle path and electric bikes provided.

E-bike

What was your favourite town? Why?
Biarritz. Lovely town with good coast and architecture. Restaurants and cafés abound!

Cycle through the famous vineyards of Bordeaux

What was the local cuisine like?

There was limited food and drink opportunities on the bike trail but all overnight towns offered good dining options.

How challenging did you find the trail?

Electric bikes helped. It was a well maintained, high quality cycle track with undulating terrain. The extent of the path surprised me most.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for such a well organised trip. The bikes were good and very fit for purpose. The app for the route was fabulous and never let us down. The hotels were all fine and at the level of accommodation that was stated. Our luggage was always there at the hotels when we arrived. It was tremendous to be able to ride so far on almost exclusively bike tracks that were separate from the road. C. Blundy.

I would like to cycle the length of Burgundy and then head south to the province directly below it.Checking out the odd winery but also the historic stuff like Roman ruins
