Our guide takes the group out for walks of the medieval towns in the evenings and gives a bit of background history on the lively towns. Barge Accommodation

Travelling by boat allows you to unpack only once, but still explore different towns and landscapes on one holiday. Basically the ultimate way to travel for many! On the Amsterdam to Bruges trip, our barge follows us while we cycle short distances from 10 to 50 kilometres each day. The boat has a small but welcoming bar, simple cabins, and comfortable upper deck to relax and watch the scenery go by. Sights & Bites of the Lowlands

As we cycle the countryside from Amsterdam to Bruges, rural experiences intersperse with medieval cities. Join a walking tour in Ghent, sample the Belgian chocolates and waffles in Bruges, and of course don’t miss out on your chance for a portion of real Flemish fries! In Holland, visit the ancient cheese trading town of Gouda, the picturesque windmills of Kinderdijk, and the natural reserve of the Biesbosch. The food on board is excellent and the Dutch coffee with apple tart & whipped cream is the perfect late morning snack.
