The Times writer Jon Holmes ticked off the miles, and the bierkellers, on an electrically assisted two-wheeled tour of Bavaria. Here are some of his quick thoughts on cycling in Bavaria with UTracks.

Had you been on a cycling holiday before?

I have cycled through India, but this was my first time combining it with beer! I enjoyed the cycling so much that on my return to the UK I bought my first bike (as an adult) and now cycle regularly. I also drink beer, but not at the same time!

What are your highlights of cycling in Bavaria?

Definitely Nuremberg for the history and Rothenberg for the scenery!
