Had you been on a cycling holiday before?
I have cycled through India, but this was my first time combining it with beer! I enjoyed the cycling so much that on my return to the UK I bought my first bike (as an adult) and now cycle regularly. I also drink beer, but not at the same time!
What are your highlights of cycling in Bavaria?
Definitely Nuremberg for the history and Rothenberg for the scenery!

Why did you decide to use an ebike for this holiday?
There were hills. A lot of hills. And I wanted to try an ebike to see how it worked. I was pleasantly surprised. Like being given a shove up the bum by an invisible giant’s hand.
What did you think of the combination beer & cycling in Bavaria?
Perfect. This was a great all-round trip. Nothing blasts the hangover away like biking through a German forest.
Any tips for future cyclists in Bavaria?
Pack light!
