Sights of Catalonia: Family Cycling

Catalonia means cycling through traditional rural landscapes with farms, vegetable gardens and rolling landscapes with sunflower fields.

The Roman archways and medieval squares make you feel like pedalling back into history. Some farmhouses even have 15th- and 16th century towers, which are ancient refuges from pirate attacks.

Catalonia region houses two museums dedicated to the fabulous art of Dalí. Likely you've never seen something before like the Dalí Museum in Figueres, the village whose name is synonymous with that of Salvador Dalí.

The Ter River delta comes with completely different scenery. From here it's not far anymore to the small town of San Pere Pescador in the Bay of Roses.

Once out at the coast, there's sandy beaches, quiet coves and the beauty of typical fishing villages.
