Lizzie has been an adventurous traveller since her early years, backpacking through South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and South and Central America before settling into a career built around her love of the world. Along the way she also spent a memorable season in a French Alps ski resort - serving crepes and cleaning bathrooms by morning, and carving up the slopes by afternoon.
A keen long-distance walker and endurance enthusiast, Lizzie has completed the Paris Marathon and several triathlons, and has a particular passion for multi-day walks, often combining them with wild camping. During lockdown she walked the South Downs Way in just three days, tackled the south Devon section of the South West Coast Path at five months pregnant, and has since walked a section of Portugal's scenic Rota Vicentina.
Across Europe, Lizzie has travelled widely - from Portugal and France (particularly the Atlantic coast and the dramatic Gorges du Verdon in the south), to city breaks and island escapes in Spain, the Balearics and the Greek islands. In 2023 she discovered Denmark for the first time, spending a week based in Aarhus and exploring the surrounding countryside and coastline.
Closer to home, Lizzie's favourite spots are Cuckmere Haven on the Seven Sisters in Sussex and the beaches of the Pembrokeshire Coast in Wales, where she has family and returns every summer. Now with two young children, she enjoys family cycle rides through South West London's Royal Parks, along riverside trails and into the Surrey Hills, and is already looking forward to introducing her kids to longer distance walks in the years ahead.
