Annie’s travel story began with independent journeys across Europe, along with adventures through the Middle East and East Africa. With a love for historic architecture and the rugged beauty of the Mediterranean, she spent seasons working and travelling across the continent: winters in the Cairngorms, summers in the south of France, and time exploring Greece and Italy in between.
These experiences shaped her appreciation for slow, immersive travel and the diverse landscapes and cultures that make Europe so rewarding to explore.
Now based in New Zealand, Annie has developed a deep connection to the country’s natural landscapes. Her travels today are often centred around simple, nature-focused experiences - setting up a roof tent by a river, surrounded by mountains, bush and open space.
At UTracks, Annie enjoys helping travellers discover meaningful ways to explore Europe, drawing on her own experiences of independent travel and time spent in some of the continent’s most iconic regions.
On her own travel wish list is the Crusaders Trail, a journey that combines history, culture and active exploration. Continue scrolling to explore some of the trips Annie recommends and the destinations that inspire her love of travel.
