Those travels have given Amelia a wonderful collection of highlights. She has cycled past the tulip fields of the Netherlands, tackled Norway’s famous Trolltunga hike, and paddle boarded along the coast at Lagos in Portugal. In the mountains she has hiked around Oeschinensee lake above Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland, visited Lake Bled in Slovenia, and skied the Dolomites in Italy, Chamonix in France, as well as resorts in Slovenia and Bulgaria.
If she does stray from the mountains, it is rarely far from the beach. Amelia has sailed the Greek Ionian Islands and visited 15 Greek islands so far, which makes Greece a clear favourite among all the countries she has explored.
Back home in Wanaka, New Zealand, her favourite walk is the Rob Roy Glacier track, though you will find her up Mt Iron most days alongside the rest of the locals. Now settled in Australia, she is keen to head for the Red Centre and hike the Larapinta Trail.
