Wine Lovers Burgundy
Burgundy is to wine what Darjeeling is to tea. The Côte d'Or is where Burgundy's most exclusive wines are found and is the focus of this cycle trip, where 'Grand Cru' wines are aged between 10 and 20 years and are identified only by the name of their vineyard. To get you started, a private cellar tour and lunch with tasting is included in a small winery as an introduction to the region. And whilst the focus is firmly on wine, the other attractions of the region are not forgotten. The relaxed pace of the cycle leaves plenty of time to visit the small villages which typify Burgundy, the chateaux, the canal paths and the many attractions of Beaune. Staying in specially selected hotels, with dinner in the hotel or a quality local restaurant, this cycle trip offers the full smorgasbord including fine French cuisine, classic scenery of vine covered rolling hills, rambling chateaux and peaceful villages coupled with a lively cultural heritage to explore.
