Normandy is a region with a long history and a rich heritage. It was annexed by the Romans and Viking adventurers, disputed over by English and French kings for centuries and ravaged during World War II. It is an area with traditions, monuments and culture. This cycle will take you through the history and splendours of the Norman coast. Cycle past stunning seaside views, picturesque half timbered cottages and the fragrance of apple trees in bloom. Starting in Bayeux you will begin discovering the history of the landing beaches. Visit Omaha and Juno beaches, the Pointe du Hoc, Pegasus bridge, and the impressive American cemetery. The tour ends in the charming harbour town of Honfleur, where you will feel like you have stepped into an Impressionist painting.
