traveller reviews

  • Excellent trip with stunning scenery. H. Aubrey. Queanbeyan, NSW. Australia
  • This trip really lived up to our expectations - our first cycle trip has whetted our appetite for more. The barge Soleo, although space was tight, was comfortable and the meals much better then we were expecting. It was wonderful to be on a floating "hotel" with the luxury of showers at the of the day and a 3 course dinner prepared for you but travelling/ cycling everyday to see and explore ancient sites. For active people this is the perfect way to sight see ! And having a guide to follow totally took all the planning and pressure off. S. Appleton. Balgowlah, NSW, Australia
  • Everything was very well planned and run. Our guide made it great fun. G & L Taylor. Wantirna, VIC. Australia
  • The bike and barge trip was fabulous, great scenery, accommodation and meals. The tour guides were excellent too, and made it a fun and enjoyable experience, which we would like to do again somewhere else in the future. L & G Taylor Wantirna. VIC. Aust.
  • A great way to see the countryside, especially as a single traveller. N.Robson VIC, Australia
  • We had a great trip. We met some great people and our tour leader was very competent. M.Young VIC, Australia
Cycle through a revolving landscape from the wilderness of the Camargue where wild horses roam, to scenes of picturesque Provençal villages and vineyards that inspired Van Gogh and the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. The Camargue is rich in wildlife including flamingos and endemic plants, while its flat plains provide easy cycling, before giving way to the spectacular limestone foothills of the Alpilles. Explore the villages of Provence brimming with tasty treats, art studios and cultural relics. Enjoy a wine tasting in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and marvel at the well preserved Pont du Gard. Relax on board the barge after each day's cycle and enjoy the views on the bank of the Rhone as you soak up the hospitality of the crew.
