traveller reviews

  • Maps and route descriptions to locations on the whole the best I've had from any cycling tour company. Most of accommodation and meals provided excellent. N. Bearns. Glebe, NSW. Australia
  • This was a wonderful trip. Definitely worth the upgrade to 3 star hotels from 2 stars. The material was generally good, and we only got off track a couple of times, mainly due to lack of signage. Some of the routes I think could be improved, but overall this was a great experience. A. Fielding. Camrose, AB. Canada.
  • Just a quick note to let you know we had a wonderful time on our bike tour last week. All arrangements for the bikes, maps, hotels, meals and luggage transfer went very smoothly and the weather was just right - not too hot or cold or wet, which we were thankful for as the past few weeks it has rained almost everyday. It only rained when we were inside Chenonceau Chateau! Thanks for your assistance in planning our wonderful trip. G.B. Ivanhoe, VIC. Australia
Known throughout Europe as the 'Garden of France', the Loire Valley with its royal heritage is home to numerous botanical wonders. From the chateau of Chenonceau where the rival gardens of Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici are proudly displayed, to the magnificent Renaissance gardens of Villandry and many more in between, this cycle tour is designed to inspire gardening and cycling enthusiasts. Whilst the focus is on the gardens, the many other attractions of the area complement the experience, including the Sunday markets in Amboise, the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci at Close de Luce and the vineyards of Montlouis, known for their sweet white wines.
